Balsamic Vinegar Salad Dressing Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup tomato juice
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar or red wine vinegar
  • 1 envelope Italian salad dressing mix
  • 2 teaspoons sugar or sugar substitute

    Directions:

    In a jar with a tight fitting lid, combine all the ingredients; shake well. You can store this in the refrigerator for a few days.

    Balsamic Vinegar and Olive oil Dressing

    Ingredients:

  • 1 sprig fresh oregano
  • 1 sprig fresh thyme
  • 1 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Directions:

    In a medium glass-jar combine the oregano, thyme, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. Cover with a tight lid and mix together well. This will need to be shaken each time you use it.

    I like to use a pint-canning jar with a lid that I saved from a mayo jar or something like that. This balsamic vinegar salad dressing recipe will keep in the refrigerator a few days.

    Japanese Ginger Salad Dressing

    An Asian Ginger dressing that’s going to impress your family, and a quick Spinach salad to try it on.

    Ingredients:

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons minced fresh ginger root

  • 3/4 cup olive oil

  • 1/3 cup rice vinegar

  • 1/2 cup soy sauce

  • 3 tablespoons honey

  • 1/4 cup water

    Directions:

    In a glass pint jar or a larger, combine the garlic, ginger, olive oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, honey and water.

    Cover the jar with a tight fitting lid. And shake well to combine the ingredients.

    Remove the lid, and heat the jar in the microwave for one minute to dissolve the honey.

    Let the dressing cool, and shake well again before serving.

    You can store this covered in the refrigerator.

    Now here is a wonderful Apple, Pecan, Cranberry and Avocado Spinach Salad that the will work really well with this Japanese Ginger Salad Dressing.

    Ingredients:

  • 1 cup baby spinach

  • 1 tablespoon dried cranberries

  • 1 tablespoon chopped salted pecans

  • 1/2 apple, corded and diced

  • 1 tablespoon diced red onion

  • 2 tablespoon grated carrot

  • 1/4 avocado, peeled and diced

  • 1 tablespoon of the Asian salad dressing

    Directions:

    Place the spinach, cranberries, pecans, apple, red onion, grated carrot, and the avocado into a bowl. Now drizzle the dressing on top, toss to coat.

    Dig in and enjoy!

    Peanut Ginger Dressing

    Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup smooth peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons unseasoned rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Asian garlic-chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar, packed
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh ginger root
  • 1/8 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 3 tablespoons low sodium chicken broth
  • salt and pepper to taste

    Directions for dressing

    To make the dressing, place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth, season with the salt and pepper. And you can make it thinner by adding more chicken broth or water to it as you are blending it.
