Green Pea Salad Recipe

This is as simple as it gets. A five minute side salad that is perfect for summer.

Ingredients:

  • Frozen Peas
  • ¾ Cup Mayonnaise or Salad Dressing (Miracle Whip)
  • Carrot

    Directions:

Thaw frozen peas in a bowl of cold water. I used a mini chopper to finely chop my carrot. Drain the peas and mix together with the chopped carrot and Mayonnaise.

I used my favorite variety of Kraft Mayo with Olive oil with a reduced fat, you can see it in the picture I posted here. I used frozen peas from Birds Eye because they stay nice and crunchy not mushy like some of the can pea varieties. The brilliant green color of the frozen peas is also so much nicer. That is all that is to this recipe you can refrigerate it so it marinates for an hour if you like.

Now here are some popular combinations to add to your pea salad:

  • Tomatoes
  • Cheddar Cheese
  • Chopped Onion
  • Chopped Sweet Pickle
  • Chopped Water Chestnuts
  • Dijon Mustard
  • Parmesan Cheese on top

Have fun with it and enjoy this summer classic easy salad recipe.
