Tahini Salad Dressing
Ingredient:
1/3 cup well-stirred tahini (sesame seed paste)
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
2 garlic cloves, chopped 3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon sugar (optional)
Directions:
Place all ingredients in bowl mix with a fork vigorously. This is very easy and delicious. I will definitely make again and again. I love that it has no oil. We had it over a salad of cucumbers, tomatoes, avocado and green onion.

Traditional Tahini Dressing Recipe
Ingredients:
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup white wine vinegar
3 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed paste)
2 tablespoons coarse-grained mustard
1 teaspoon honey
1 small garlic clove, minced
3/4 vegetable oil
Directions:
This is the traditional tahini recipe. You can mix this in a bowl with a fork or in a small food processor.
Adjust the seasoning to you taste.
Tahini - Ginger Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
1/2 c. olive oil
1/2 c. tahini
1/2 c. water
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1/4 c. tamari
2 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. ground ginger
1 garlic clove, squeezed
Black pepper
Directions:
Blend all these ingredients well. Variations can be made by omitting the ginger and adding more lemon juice to make Tahini-Lemon Dressing or 2 teaspoons crushed mint leaves for Tahini-Mint Dressing. Makes 2 cups.
Tahini Garlic Salad Dressing
Ingredients:
1/2 c. tahini
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/4 c. fresh lemon juice
1/2 c. water
1 tsp. cider vinegar
2 tsp. tamari soy sauce
1 or 2 garlic cloves, pressed
1/8 tsp. black pepper
Directions:
Place all the ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend thoroughly. Yields 1 1/2 cups.
This is a robust garlic dressing with a nutty, sesame taste. It’s strong flavor is at its best on a very simple green salad such as lettuce, romaine.
