Thousand Island Dressing


Thousand Island Dressing

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup chili sauce

  • 3 hard cooked eggs

  • 1 ½ dill pickles, chopped

  • 1/3 cup celery, chopped

  • 1 green pepper, minced

  • 1 small onion, minced

    Directions:

    Combine all ingredients; chill. Makes 2 cups.

    Thousand Island, French-style

    Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup salad oil

  • 1/2 cup evaporated mil

  • 1/4 cup vinegar

  • 1/4 cup chili sauce or catsup

  • 2 hard-cooked eggs, chopped

  • 1/4 cup minced onion

  • 2 small cloves garlic

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Dash of pepper

    Directions:

    Combine all ingredients in a jar. Cover and shake vigorously. Chill. Remove garlic before using. Serve on greens. Makes 2 cups.

    Chili Mayonnaise Topper

    Slowly stir ½ cup chili sauce into ½ cup mayonnaise. Add ½ cup creamy French dressing and 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Mix well. Makes about 1-½ cups.
